Received call this morning at 11.25am. Man of Indian
accent said he was from EE, and was I getting slow
internet speed over the last few weeks, I said yes, he said
it was due to upgrading server soft ware, and he needed
to get into my computer so that the problem would not
arise again, I gave him access not Knowing, and after he
said if I pay a fee of £199 I would not have this for nine years, even with any new computers. After ringing EE my
broad band company, they told me its a scam, and this phone number was nothing to do with their company (919799999799) its nothing but a SCAM SCAM SCAM.

Same as the rest. Got call saying they represented my ISP and I had errors showing.
I asked who my ISP was and he just repeated that he represented them all.
I told him I worked for BT (which I do) and why was he calling my work mobile and he just said, "oh f*** you."
I said that was great customer service and he hung up.
Happy Days!

Just had one of the callcentre guys on the phone, told him I knew it was a scam and that I don't have a windows based device that is connected to thw internet, to which he threatened to call the police, I asked him to as I knew it was a scam, tried to say the company had been running in Birmingham for over 15 years (cube pc solutions) nothing on google, ended up telling him where to go and hun up

00919799999799. They are still at it - Problems with my broadband. I asked them to take me through it at the different IP layers 3 and 2. Got abusive when I started asking him about the routing protocols. lol.

Same as most. Asian guy called me saying " they" (on behalf of my ISP) were detecting lots of errors etc. Caught me napping, obviously. Got thru' the rigmarole of downloading the TeamViewer.exe file, etc. Got screen-full of errors (been told since that these errors are authentic but also irrelevant/not impoprtant). Then he plugged in the sales pitch. At which point I "woke up" and told him what to do with his wonderful proposal of buying the "right protection" (bloody mafiosi!!!). He promptly hung up. I went offline, deleted the .exe file and called my computer guy, who told me not to worry, as I had already done the right thing in deleting the.exe file.
Is there a way to skin these guys alive? I volunteer my best paring knife.
Bloody pests...

This number just called and an Asian guy announced that he was calling from Tech Support about my computer and broadband line - I asked him what company he was calling from and got the reply 'BT, Virgin, Talk Talk, Sky and AOL'...a good cover of UK broadband suppliers. When I told him (a few times) I didn't have a computer of broadband - which clearly I have - he hung up on me. Obvious scam - don't believe a word....

Just called me. After many long hellos from both of us he told me his name was Jordan? and he was ringing about my internet. My lucky day as there was nothing on t.v. so I thought this might be fun. Sadly we were cut off before he even had time to tell me there was a problem with my internet connection. He never rang back either, half hearted scamming if you ask me.
liv
just had a call from this number an asian man telling me I had viruses, I asked him what company he works for and he mentioned a few of the usual companies including bt broadband. I then said to him I think you will find that if there was a problem with my broadband, my internet provider which is none you have mentioned would contact me themselves. He hung up.... This kind of thing really annoys me, where do they get your number from??
Tina
Had the same call just 2 mins ago. I'm ex-dir so don't know how he got number but an Asian man claiming to be from technical support of my broadband supplier...I asked him who that was & he told me to shut up & let him explain. He tried to explain again, I said, I don't have a computer...which stumped him then I told him you're a scammer so foxtrot oscar!

Had a call at home from this number, when I answered it some Asian woman spoke I couldn't understand a word apart from Broadband. My number is ex directory and I also have caller preference(which is obviously not working) so when I asked her were she had got my number from I was told and I quote 'it's none of your business' to which I put the phone down. Who do these idiots think they are and how do I get them stopped from contacting me, we get at least one a day from this lot I'm sick of them !!

I've just had a call from caller ID 919799999799 (which is actually a BT test number) who claimed to be from my broadband supplier - when asked who my broadband supplier was he replied that they work on behalf of Virgin, BT, talk talk, sky and UKonline, when I continually asked for his company name rather than who he worked on behalf of he said what the 'F' are you talking about (obviously didn't realise he'd have to have a company name himself if he's working on behalf of someone else) and then hung up

I had 919799999799 called today, I confronted them asking for the company contact details and the mans name, as I am an IT manager and clearly this story was nonsense! He put the phone down, this is clearly a phishing call..... DO NOT PASS ON ANY DATA!!!!!

Similar to all above. Kept 'John' going for a while while I supposedly followed his instructions to enable him to hack into my computer, said my internet concoction was slow, said I'd try 'another computer', funnily enough, that was slow too, went to 'third', and while it was loading asked him questions - names etc. Company supposedly TC Tech Support, working on behalf of virgin Media etc. When i said I would have to try the fourth computer as nothing was coming up, he began to realise and hung up!! I wonder how many computers he thought I had!! Tee hee

I just got a call from them, said they were IT support and saying that I had a virus on my computer and was slowing down my internet.
I asked them a few times who they were and why they were calling. I asked them how they knew about the virus and they hung up. bunch of weirdos wasting my time

I changed my phone line from VirginMedia to PlusNet last week and have not given my new number to anyone outside of family, and yet I had a call from this number today! I let all my calls go to answerphone and of course they did not leave a message. I'm at a loss as to how a third party/scammer could already have my number. Registering with TPS right now!

Rung our business and said we had Viruses on our computer also said they were on the main server and were in Birmingham
When we explained we were a business and had our own IT support, we then asked them for a company name.
They said PC IT support in Birmingham we then asked them for their company registration number and they hung up..........
