United StatesThe "dalit dailer". As I was not at my computer I could only keep him on the line 5 minutes or so. I explained to him I was having problems with my computer, and was, as we spoke, unpacking a new motherboard that had just arrived. This did seem to discourage him a bit.
I am shooting for 30 minutes but haven't gotten there yet.
United StatesThis is a known scam. They are impersonating Microsoft Windows support and trying to get access to your computer. Once they get in they will get you to buy a prepaid card and give them the numbers so can they steal your money. Microsoft, Apple, IBM do not cold call you about errors. You must call them for support. This is a scam, HANG UP and do not give them any information.
