Looks like he's changed his phone number ( +447937947969 ...or added a new one to his list), so I'll write it here in the hope that others searching will be helped by this string. Thanks to you all for contributing to help others.
Same approach and same email (just different numbers!). He's been rated as untrustworthy on this phone number on several websites.

Had this number txt us about banking issues wanting us to log in , more fool him the looser I hope someone is able to shut them down and lock'em away ,, knew it was a scam as he had the bank wrong ,, the message comes up looking authentic so be careful

Yes, I also received a message from this scammer for an item I have listed on Gumtree.

Received 4 txts in under 48 hours telling I had received varying number of responses on a dating website [that I have never used]. Did not contact website nor respond to txt but reported to SPAM.

TradeMe NZ he txt interested in Car and to email him didn't bother with the loser!

Same as the test , messages me about our car sales add... I didn't trust it the second I saw the +44
