I got the same call, a couple of days ago, to my app in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The guy introduced himself as Marc, insisted he was from Glasgow, Microsoft, reporting a computer malware. As we (I and my boyfriend) did not believe him, he gave us this number to check. He was kind and not too persistent.

Got the same call this morning asking to access my computer through teamviewer. I'll suggest to never ever let anyone access your computer without a proper prior indentification.

I'm in France, but same as you all , I received a call from 00442032866013 (he said from Glasgow, microsoft main center!!!!). The guy spoke english with a strong indian accent.
He wanted me to type "eventvwr" in my execute winwows. I stopped conversation before typing it.
Just i'm surprised, because about one hour before that call, I started to be bothered with "windows explorer": it restarted every time I used right click, or delete something!!!

I got my call yesterday from Alex Stewart, ID number 1214, calling from Microsoft in California because our computer had been compromised by a major new virus ("many notifications on our computer"... add the heavy Indian accent, and the background sound track of a call room, and you have it.). Alex was calling me at 8 am local time, hence 11 pm California time, to help me. Bless him. If only I would open up my computer and tell him my computer number... The phone number that led me here, he gave me saying it was a Microsoft helpline in Scotland. When I tried to thank him for his info, saying I would now call directly to Microsoft and work my way through their services, he was very persistent.

I have been called by this Indian man who professes to represent Microsoft for the last two years and I live in France. He tells me that I am having terrible problems with my compute and that he is here to help me. I say that Microsoft does not make phone calls to private individuals and can he stop ringing me. But he is persistent and rings me twice a monthe. I asked him where he got my no. And he said F....k you and hangs up. This time I asked him for a phone no. And he gave me 00442032866013
I ask him to take me off hiss list and he hangs up. I feel I am being herrased by these people, is there anything I can do to stop these calls?

an indian sounding man, third one that morning claiming to be part of Microsoft, I simply asked to prove it _ he could not but have to give him points for trying.
wanted me to verify my computer ID, apparently he had a number that match mine but I did not verify.
gave me the number to call him back as a way to prove he was from Microsoft.

I also got a call from this number. I didn't realised that it was fake. They were going to charge me 44 USD but charged 410 pounds.

I got the same call from a guy calles Marc Fleming. Wanted my computer id...

An Indian sounding guy who said his name was Andy Gomes said my computer had been "jail broken". He wanted me to switch on my phone and go to a web page. I asked for a phone number. He said he was in London 00442032866013. From the internet it turns out this is a scam and they try to get you to download a virus. Lucky I checked it out first.
