United StatesOn 11/1/2014 at 10:30AM, I received a call from someone who claimed to be from the IRS (on Saturday) and demanded a payment of $7,000 to be made within two hours in order to avoid jail time. This person had a middle eastern accent, but told me that his name was Erick Johnson. He refused to provide any identifying or account information and wanted me to go to a Rite Aid Store to make the payment. IT IS A SCAM - DO NOT MAKE ANY PAYMENTS - THE IRS WILL NEVER CALL YOU ON THE PHONE TO DEMAND MONEY...AND THEY DO NOT WORK ON THE WEEKEND.
