Calling from "a law firm" about "a car accident someone at this address had recently", when pressed "not recently but maybe within the last 3 years". Kept asking if I recalled it. I don't, because it didn't happen. "Maybe another family member at that address". Nope. Just a scammer. If they call you, bear in mind they have no idea whether you've had an accident or not, they are just going through the phone book and hoping.

rang me today asking about a minor not my fault accident i had in my car 2 years ago. he new my address and when i didn't want to talk about it put phone down. then rang me back pretending he couldn't hear me pressing a loud beeping sound. I have now received loads of calls in the last hour or so and he harrasing me. I block the phone number but then he rings from a different number.
