I just had the same thing...started by saying he was calling from Southampton City Council after the NHS had given them my number about an accident I had. I haven't had any accident, though my father in law has recently and I initially wondered if that is what he was talking about. He just kept saying that they were going to cancel my father in laws claim if I didn't give the caller his number. I asked for his name and he said Mike Salvatro which seems a strange name for a guy that clearly had a strong indian type accent. Again he was quite abusive and threatening....

Recieved call just after midday supposedly from "NHS insurance" regarding an accident I supposedly had last year. Male voice, possibly slight asian accent. Told that my friend had given him my number and details and I had not recieved any compensation for the accident with a motorbike in November. Rather than hang up I strung him along telling him that I had to undergo a full brain transplant. He became very very abusive and rude but rather than then hang up, then tried to get more details from me. Idiot.
