I got a call saying my name (they stated my name) and SS # came up in a federal investigation. I can't even understand half of what he is saying. Same person leaves a message because I don't answer unknown callers.

Said they were with the IRS Criminal Bureau of Investigation and I had charges being pressed against me for failure to pay federal taxes. I said needed to pay now, I said I would as soon as I saw documentation. He said they would send someone over with that, but I had to pay first. I told him you can stay on the phone with me and e-mail me the info, then I will handle it, He then threatened to send an officer to my front door with a warrant for my arrest and hung up.

I figured this was a scam. They called me and said I was reported and asked for my SSN. I hung up the phone.

I recieved a call saying i was turned in and needed to call them back before a cop showed up at my door or place of employment.

Hey eb and Addie so did ever get the grant? Did they ask you guys for money too!

They called me from a blocked number, stating that I was in good standing because I did not have a criminal record and I have not filed bankruptcy, and that I would receive a grant for $9200.00 yea rt. I played along and called this number back 202-697-9849.. They wanted money and wanted to know my name.. DUH how could they KNO what my situation was if they did not KNO my name, second of all, NOONE is going to call u up offering you free money and then ask for money!

Eb I got the samr exact call they gave me that number to call and a code to finalize the transaction

They called me from a 000-0000 and said that I received a grant from the government in the amount of $9200 because I was in good standing with the government: 1) because I paid my bills on time; 2) not filed for bankruptcy in the last 6 months; 3) have no criminal record.
