I work for a Wedding Venue we almost got scammed by the person calling from this number. Claiming to be a John Hu, out of town, planning a big anniversary party with the works. When it was time to put a deposit down, he had a strange request. To run his credit card for more than the deposit, Leo a tip for myself and use the remaining to pay the limo driver who would be bringing him, his wife and guest. I got a weird vibe, so did some research and came across quite a few event scams asking the same request. Wedding planners, event centers, florists, photographers watch out. Be aware. If you get a weird vibe, feel something is not right, follow your intuition. Do some digging. Call your merchant services and alarm them of a potential threat.
